Basic Arresting Information

You are to advise the person you are arresting of their right using the Miranda Rights if you are handcuffing for ANY reason, even if you are not the arresting officer.

Miranda Rights

"You have the right to remain silent.

Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

You have the right to talk to a lawyer.

If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you.

Do you understand the right I have just read to you?

With these right in mind, do you wish to speak to me?"

JAILING

Ensure you are jailing the arrested person promptly and correct. Ensure you input proper information in the incident report AFTER you have sent the arrested person to jail.

If you leave the person in jail for more than 15 minutes in your custody in the station main cells, ensure you are giving relief on the sentence time for the duration they were in custody for.

Ensure you are ONLY using /jailmenu to fine and sentence players. DO NOT use the MDT fine and jail functions.
